A feeding frenzy of Humpback whales turned Monterey Bay, California into a “whale soup” in September 2013.  Large numbers of anchovies attracted dozens and dozens of whales — amazing megapods of whales usually only seen single or in pairs.  At one point, I counted 50 Humpback whales in view.  This video shares up close encounters with these amazing ocean dwellers, along with thousands of sea lions and birds joining in the feast.
